Rex Ventnors now exported three youngsters in the last few years and have three UK Champions to their name. Winning 1CC with 1 BOB went to a quite a number of exhibits Ch. Of the 28 dogs above 18 have foreign sires including 4 imports. Our breed will also be represented at Crufts by Mirengo’s Maiya with Mutoko JW who is in the finals of the Kennel Gazette Competition on Hound Day and Veldtkammer ridgebacks who will be in the Breeders Stakes, which is a first for our breed. In a different area of expertise Mikki Burgess’s Nyassa Alana at Msulwa achieved her Good Citizens Gold and is possibly the youngest dog to do so at 1 year and 5 days. Alison Fraser, who is a strong advocate for ridgebacks excelling in different areas presented a new trophy to the SRRA for ridgebacks that have achieved their good Citizens Gold and this was presented for the first time to Mikki. I have collated the above information during the year from previous breed notes and results which are recorded on my website. I try to keep it as accurate as possible, if there is a mistake on my website . I would appreciate it if you would let me know as any inaccuracy will affect the above and if I have missed anyone out I am sorry it was by no means done deliberately.
