Diamondridge Royal Gold 1 Reserve CC

Born 14/12/95 Died 12/11/09 (Old Age)

Top Brood Bitch 2005 and one of the Best of All Time

"Flair" was born on the 14.12.95, had excellent conformation and inherited her lovely profile movement from her parents Ch. Diamondridge Daredevil and Voortrekker Lya Pompa of Diamondridge.  In the showring she won 1 Reserve CC and was consistently placed in strong competition.

She had superb balance and demonstrated it beautifully in the SRRA dvd which was used to train would-be judges as to the balance and flexibility desired for a ridgeback to do its job in baying a lion.

She was a 'stayer' as well in 2006 at nearly 11 years old she won Special Veteran and beat her daughter Ch. Diamondridge Deja vu who won the Veteran class to be Best Veteran in show at the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Great Britain Championship show.

What the Judge: Janet Wang said about 'Flair'

Beautiful 11 year old bitch, lovely square jaw so lacking in many dogs today, lovely head & expression, good length of neck, shoulder layback & length of upper arm, nice bone & feet, excellent depth of brisket.  Stands slightly high in rear but moves with drive.  What a grand old lady.

However it was as a brood bitch where she was especially valuable.

Her first litter to Ch. Tukela Umgaza at Sofala produced Ch.Diamondridge Deja Vu who also won a CAC at the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of France and Reserve BIS and a CACIB in France.

Her second litter was to UK.Ch. Int.Fin.CDH Ch. Aakemba King Astor G'Fumo which produced Ch. Diamondridge Desperado JW, Int. Nord. Ch. Diamondridge Diplomat, UK. Ir. Ch. Diamondridge Dancing at Sofala .

Her final litter to Int. Nor.Dn. Lux. Ch. Ukukhanya Scout the Red Baron produced Ch. Donatello JW and Diamondridge Debut at Voortrekker who won her 1st CC in 2005.

Flair won Best Veteran in Show at the Midland & Northern Open Show.
What the judge, Frank Kane said.

"Glorious mover, lovely type and substance.  Topline a little slack but her reach and drive won her this class.  A touch too much white on their chest perhaps but I loved her type and thought her movement outstanding.  I see she has been a good producer."

In 1998 Flair went BIS at the SRRA Club Open Show under Judge Charlotte Crunden.
