Diamondridge Donatello started his show career winning 1st In the Puppy Stakes at the Hound Show.  He has continued to do well winning Reserve Best Puppy in Show at Slough & District and 1st in the Puppy Dog Stakes at Manchester Ch. Show from an entry of 64 puppies.

He has now 5CCs, his first at 18 months of age, his second at the SRRA Breed Club Show at just 2 years old with his 3rd following at the next show he was exhibited.

Donny won his 5th CC under International All-rounder Liz Cartledge, his half sister took her 3rd CC and BOB and this is what she said about him. "Excellent and challenging class, where I was hard on some good typical Ridgebacks that did not want to show with any conviction.  CC Barnes Ch. Diamondridge Donatello JW 3 1/2 year old stallion looking dog, very handsome, masculine head, well proportioned and held his topline on the move, free active mover with good stride, fit and well muscled athletic and focused on the job, eep chest, strong quarters I liked very much"

What the judge Anthea Fox said about Donatello at SKC.  'Outstanding dog of quality and substance, masculine head, well angulated front, deep chest, tight elbows, well ribbed, good feet, strong well muscled rear, one of the best moving Ridgebacks in the ring, covering the ground with no effort at all.  CC & BOB

15/2/2004 What the judge Peter Broadbent said about Donatello

The outstanding exhibit of the day!  Powerful red wheaten who managed to move ok in the ring.  In the BIS ring moved superbly, unfortunately the Judge was blind to his qualities - amazing.  Strong head all in proportion, good sized ears, nice eye shape and look.  Strong neck and topline.  Magnificent quarters and strength of hock.  Depth of chest and spring of rib superb.  Certainly one to have 'quarrying ' a lion.  I am told that he had one CC so far at just over 2 years old.  Should not need much more time to make up.

3/2003 What the Judge, Albert Wight said at Manchester:" Outstanding ridgeback.  This tall and very handsome dog never put a foot wrong, truest of limbs, well ribbed, looks a powerhouse being so supple in muscle.  Blessed with a good turn of stifle he moved like he could go all day without breaking sweat."

What the Judge, Nick Bryce Smith said at the Hound Show: "Plenty of substance and bone for age.  Masculine correctly proportioned head, good reach of neck, well laid shoulder.  Complimented by good return of upper arm.  Brisket well down to elbows.  Good overall outline.  Excellent rear angulation.  Well set hocks.  Covered the ground with great extension and drive and very true given age.  Eye catching masculine dog and would appear to have a great future.  Hopefully has done most of his growing."
