Rhodesian Ridgebacks

I would like to thank the Committee for giving me a warm Scottish welcome.  The venue is beautiful and the weather was perfect.  I would also like to thank the exhibitors for giving me such a quality entry.  I was concerned that I may have to withhold when I saw that the early classes had only one or two dogs in but they were all worthy of their placings.

Temperaments were good, as were ridges, there was one which had an overshot bite and one level bite but all others were correct.

Puppy dog (2:0) 1st Muir’s Kiromol its all about me at Kikeba.   Good overall balance to this puppy.   Head of correct proportions with a strong muzzle and teeth set square to jaws.  Good reach of neck which is well set on, well laid shoulders.  Forechest correct, Good ridge.   Moved with long, effortless and free strides.  Stood out for Best Puppy in Show and was pulled for the final cut.  I understand this was his last Puppy class, what a way to finish!

2nd Mackfall’s  Kelshanti Senator of Africaner.  Good overall balance, and good coat colour.  Good forechest but slightly narrower than the winner but he had a lot to give away in age at nine months old.  Good feet with well let down hocks.
